Good news. My HbA1c test results were phoned in to me yesterday (which last time 2 years ago had showed up a pre-diabetes result of 46) have resulted in a normal range reading of 41 mmol/mol so now officially I am out of the pre diabetes risk cohort. So that worry that I had is now gone.

I was also told that my QRisk3 score(chance of a CVH issue in ten years) had improved from 14% 2017 to 12% now, but because it was still more than 10% I have been offered a statin prescription. Reading up apparently this is a newish recommendation in the UK. A healthy person of my age and ethnicity has a Qrisk of 11.2% would also be offered statins -Apparently it is cost effective - As I am over 60 years old medical prescriptions are free in England a nice HNS benefit. So I being sent some Atvorastatin tablets.

Yesterday I dodged the rain and managed two 5.3 miles walks to help me offset a cooked breakfast and upside down pudding with the evening meal. It's still rainy and has been wet for around a week and the grass is in dire need of a cut. The rain also makes gardening unpleasant so things are getting well behind.

Today is still looking rainy I am going to try and fit in another ten miles of walking.

I take my statins at bed time. You make your cholestrol at 2am (I was told - I hope I’m not passing on fakeinfo!!)

Thanks TTTAA - My Nurse mentioned that beddybyes time is better time for taking them -So thats my plan. I'm sure that I will forget from time to time. I hope the tabs aren't too large that you feel them in your throat for an hour after taking them.

My HbA1c is currently @ 44, so pre diabetic. Hence I’m here taking it more seriously than previous ‘visits’ Glad to see you’ve turned it around. It gives me hope that I can do the same.
