Day 52 - Yesterday was meant to be an easy day where I try to eat close to 1500 calories and rest myself after the previous days exertions. However during my wet walk I suddenly decided to jog on the flat bits I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was a able to jog for a fair distances at a time which meant that I took 12 minutes off my previous best time for this 5.3 mile hilly walk (thanks Mellisa for giving me a target). The increased exertion used up 100 calories more and so I ended with a very decent 1460 calorie deficit for the day. My increasing fitness really is giving me the benefit of increased diet latitude where intake and exercise can be easily flexed to suit the day - I'm sure others have noticed this?

For a change this deficit appeared immediately as a weight loss for me. A new tougher target of losing two stone in two months now appears achievable as I now have 1kg to lose in eight days (95 Kg - 82 Kg).

In other news we dug the first of our potatoes yesterday, first plant gave us a return of 1kg, with a bit of luck my belly will be that much smaller by Aug 5th? Today it's more courgettes.
