Thank you! I have really weak arms, barely do push-ups, I couldn’t lift dumbbells for sure 😅 yesterday some guy at the gym started to scream doing workout, so I left and do home exercises now 😂 hiit mostly)

They start at 1kg, you basically learn the moves and start building resistance then increase. Or resistance bands are good as well . Adding some strength training would definitely help you getting better results but at the end of the day you have to do what is more comfortable for you. Noises are common. I think they are funny but I prefer using my headphones and be in another dimension , otherwise that you make me laugh 😂 By the way, I only do homeworkouts too !

Are you sure he was working out? Did you look and make sure maybe someone was killing him and he was screaming for help! Or trapped under a barbell in fact he may still be there laid on a bench with a barbell on his chest lol.

😂 He is alive, he was with his friend. But there were definitely sounds of torture.

Yeah, I should start from light ones, I started from 3 kg, not easy 😅

Aww, don't be put off. Sometimes they are just young or inexperienced and don't know any better. They think that is what you have to do. Screaming is only required if you are doing Eddie Hall type lifts!

Anne’s right truth is most people don’t care about what going on around them but some love the attention once I saw two guys working out and then throwing the weights down after each set until the other accidentally throw it on his mates foot who was wearing a pair of flimsy slip ons now that guy did shout 😂 it was so funny my sides hurt more from laughing then the work out did 🤣 just go and enjoy your workout 👍

I kind of understand you a bit strong and healthy. I remember back in the days I didn’t feel comfortable enough to be around weights or big guys doing their thing. Then I joined an independent small Gym with proper machines and really focused people. The gym was small but because everyone was into their workout, I lost that “fear”. I would go there and do whatever I fancied and didn’t care who was around. I feel a massive different between a big chain gym and those ones. In the independent ones I feel that everybody speaks the same language. However, whatever gym you are on, forget who is around. Focus on your gains, the rest is history . 😉

The “everyone will be looking at me” feeling is psychological , trust me 😉

Funny story, mankind! I just read pcrav post and thought back to the times I went to new gyms. I have been to many gyms over the years and my strategy in a new gym would be just to do cardio and observe until I sussed out who was who and what was what. But, yes they can be intimidating. I am sure I look intimidating but I am just a big pussy cat really!

Let’s believe deep down someone also feels intimidated by us 🤣
