Saaj92's Journal, 03 Feb 21

So excited to be at my lowest weight ever! It's been a looooong journey, I started trying to lose weight since I was 18. I went gym, tried to eat better and I always ended up back to square 1. Over the past ten years I've lost weight then gained it back again. 2019 was my real big push where I joined a fitness studio, had a trainer and started doing strength training. I managed to finally shed and keep off the weight! Until I moved cities and due to an inactive lifestyle managed to put back on 10kg (half of the weight I lost) since lockdown around June I got back in touch with her and fund out she was going to do online classes! Through her online workouts I have finally managed to reach a weight I have only ever imagined.

Aim is to get down to 75kg by my birthday!! Let's see if by 12th March I can do it! Losing 4kg in 5 and a half weeks seems doable. Just have to stay disciplined 💪🏾
79 kg Lost so far: 23 kg.    Still to go: 11 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

@razor123ray yes definitely and o think I've finally acknowledged the fact that is isn't a quick thing and a lifestyle! Hopefully will continue even after I reach my goal weight

@nutty30s so I workout 5/6 times a week (30min/45min classes). A variety of workouts, as I do online classes with a trainer she tends to mix it up and does strength training, HIIT, cardio. Currently focusing more on strength at the moment for this month (a few months ago I invested in a barbell set and was the best investment I've ever made!) With regards to food, I'm not really on any specific diet. I keep within my calories (1700) and just make better food choices, so fewer carbs, more protein, fruits, veg and reducing sugary snacks. Obviously I have days where I eat takeouts/chocolates etc but I try and 'save' calories or just make sure I don't go over that day. So like the other day I had a smaller lunch to have takeout for dinner 😋. Meal planning is really good as it factors in what you're gonna eat and makes it easier to not over eat/choose meals . Oh and drink lots of water and I try and do 10/12k steps daily.

Never actually dieted before so I’m hoping it’s my 1 and only and I don’t mind putting on a couple of kg as long as I lose it straight away but we must always calorie count

Because I have always been overweight I had quite a bit of chest fat it feels like it is mainly muscle underneath but I feel their is more to lose or maybe it’s me

@razor123ray well your journey looks amazing too and you've worked super hard! Congrats on being on your lowest weight too! So whatever you choose to do I hope it's best for you and as long as you feel comfortable in/with your body!
