John10251's Journal, 02 Aug 20

I have been meeting my activity goals inconsistently since the virus hit. I can tell the difference from hitting my activity goals daily for months at a time compared to hitting them a couple of days a week. My new goal is to be more consistent. Yesterday was the first time I met all my activity goals for a solid week in awhile. I'm a little sore today so I'm taking the day off and will not meet some activity goals. Yesterday I ate under goal, exceeded my protein goal and met all activity goals. BF up 0.1%

Bodies are so weird... You do everything perfectly and the arrow is up! 😁 👣

I think you added to your journal or I would have surely seen your muscle soreness likely explains the arrow. Things are so changed and strange these days. Making this our new normal seems so sad. I am making some fitness gains again finally. Without normal activities and a gym open, it makes things really require more creativity. 😁

You've got a great awareness of what works and doesn't work for you John...still on top of it and under goal. Coincidently, daily logging ALL my input and output, maintaining protein goals (to help maintain or grow muscle mass) and consistent exercise are foundational for me too.

Thanks Melissa and Steven!!! I agree Melissa. I have found myself being more creative in finding ways to meet my activity goals. IMO, exercise plays a big part in fitness but it actually plays a smaller role in overall daily calorie burn. I think it's more about the calories and not the gym or how many steps. It's the extra calories burned that make a difference. I'm with you Steve. Logging gives me the data to make better choices and that makes it easier to stay on track...
