@sk.17, @liv001 - Thanks! The hospitals in Los Angeles are so full they don't have beds unless you are seriously ill so that is why they just looked at her, gave her antibiotics for the pneumonia and sent her home at 1:30 in the morning. This COVID stuff is real... (sigh)

The past year my parents have been at hospitals four times, a total of 25 days. I stayed next to them all those days and nights. Both mentally and physically i was stressed to levels i have never experienced. So i know what a son might feel when a parent has urgent and serious health issues. Stay strong. Wishing your mom quick recovery.

@Tassos67 - I am so sorry to hear that you went through that! In Los Angeles you can no longer stay with anyone. You have to drop them off, communicate with a nurse, then pick the person up from security. No-matter-how-sick-they-are. This is the way it was in New York, this is the way it is in Los Angles now.

I hope the test is negative and she recovers quickly. This virus is so opportunistic. Does she have any idea if she was in contact with someone who had tested positive? As much technology and we have and so many smart data scientists and our reporting and tracking is dismal.
