John10251's Journal, 24 Apr 20

Yesterday I saw my doctor. We agreed that my body seems to be responding negatively from not maintaining my usual levels of activity. He encouraged me to resume meeting my step goal and active minutes even if can't meet all activity goals. He also increased the dosage of one medication. We both found it odd that I have to eat more calories to maintain my weight and body fat but it is what it is and not a problem. Yesterday I ate "Poorly" at 118% of goal, exceeded my protein goal and for the second day in a row met all activity goals. BF down 0.1%

Muscle tissues burn more calories. Did you increase your Muscle Mass?

Thanks Jcmama and Srossca!!! @Srossca, I'm carrying less body fat than a few months ago. That caused my lean muscle mass percentage to improve. I'm doubtful that I have actually grown more muscle mass. I do consider being able to eat more and not gain a plus. I think it has more to do with my metabolism...

John, maybe you've added some NEAT calorie burn without realizing?? Eating more, keeping lean muscle and not gaining fat seems like a nice problem though?

Thanks HCB and Steven!!! @Steven, I had to google NEAT to find out what it meant. I have been somewhat anxious lately. Maybe that is the answer...
