full wraps on. couldn't resist weighing myself. process left me breathless. had fear I am putting weight on because of joint aches but clearly not true. keep feeling guilty because of temptations. last night ate 2 packs of sesame snaps...But I am sleeping longer nowadays. easily 4-5 hours a night but still need to top up during the day. also very dizzy. yesterday it was high blood pressure, hence my fears I was doing badly. Vegan substitutes require loads of salt to take any flavour. no surprises therefore! BP182/96/81 :( and that is with medication! I could add a diuretic but it causes me horrible boils and dry mouth/eyes/nose. even with one tablet only. hate medications! living a ghost life due to them, not fully utilising my potential. if I were to die of covid19, what memories would I leave behind? 179/91/76 poor heart never resting!

Hi there, your BP is really high and if you have high content of salt not a ideal ( salt also keep to water in the body and that make you heavier ) I can suggest you to eat beetroot mainly raw ones you can mixed them with carrots to make salad they are best diuretic and drops the bp drastically- I always suggest to my patient to have beetroot instead of meds. Also you can do yogurt with garlic if you don’t mind the garlic they all heathy and help to reduce the blood pressure. Good luck 😉

Tania, don’t be so down on yourself. I used to take 5 tablets a day for my hypertension. One off them being the dread diuretic. It drove me mad! The atenolol drained me of all energy. I started at 200kg around 21 months ago and now I’m 89.9kg. I don’t need any meds whatsoever. You can get there, just want it. Best of luck tae ye. Cheer up pal. X

Please cheer up, you'll get a handle on this. Maybe try a 10 or 15 min walk, it really helps to clear your head/mind. I have to opposite problem to you. I was told years ago that I have to avoid or at least, only eat small quantities of natural yogurt & garlic (fresh)... apparently it lowers your blood pressure. I do notice that I feel light headed & a bit weak if I've eaten garlic bread & I mean loaded with garlic (I LOVE garlic). I had my blood pressure taken after I'd had yogurt with chopped fresh strawberries & it was really low. I am offering this because at least these are healthy, natural options that can be added to your diet and not MORE tablets. I really do hope you can get this sorted soon & that you start to feel happier & more positive ❤ Good Luck xxx

To combat tasteless food try marinating before cooking. Mix Soya, oil, lemon and garlic (+/- ginger) and soak your veggies for a bit before you cook them, or use that as a stir fry sauce. Tofu and jackfruit can be marinated too. Good luck!

Don´t give up! Try maybe the ketogenic diet - lots of tasty foods, butter, olive oil, coconut oil, easily not feeling hungry. but NO carbs, or only very little. Can help with insuline resistance, which creates cravings, and with prediabetic / diabetes II (don´t know, whether you have any issues with that). And since most of the calories are fat, you won´t have a problem with the reduced stomach size, because you don´t need a lot of volume of food. Good luck!
