Yesterday my Wife threw a baby shower for my Daughter at her house. I stayed busy trying to support them. We also have guest staying at our house. I ate "Poorly" at 112% of goal, far exceeded my protein goal and met all activity goals without trying. BF down 0.4%...

Bill I use a Multi-Frequency BIA scale and I agree with you. Often I question it's accuracy. I also use calipers and they can also give very subjective results. I do try to weigh myself and collect data under the same conditions, as much I possibly can daily. I consider these methods at best a very general gauge...

Does anyone know how and what effect does water content have on Multi-Frequency BIA scales?

Body fat generally moves slower but up or down with my weight. The most dramatic shifts are on and the days after resistance training...

@John I don't have firsthand experience with the bioimpedance scales, but my understanding is that they are extremely sensitive to hydration. That dude Tim Ferris did an experiment where he weighed in, guzzled a couple litres of water, weighed in again, and thereby produced vastly different body fat readings minutes apart.

Thanks Rosio and Jimmiepop!!! @ Jimmiepop, I don't question Tim Ferris results. It's the reason that I strive to weigh in under the same conditions daily. Sunday is the one day a week that I have less control over my weigh in conditions and have to come to expect a slight difference in results...
