John10251's Journal, 23 Nov 19

Today is a victory day and I'm glad about it!!!
I finally made it down to the top of my desired body fat range. Earlier this past summer I increased my protein and calorie goals in an attempt to increase muscle mass. In the process, I unfortunately increased my body fat percentage but as expected. What I didn't expect was that it was going to take months to get my body fat percentage back in my desired range. I didn't blow up in muscle growth but I do see definition and development that I have never seen before. At sixty seven years old, I can't complain about any improvement. To be realistic, I don't expect this one day victory to be permanent. It's actually my new starting line and a call to continue working towards maintaining my lifestyle...

Yesterday was a busy day. I didn't make it to the gym as planned but I had plenty of activity helping my Sister unpack and get settled in her new home. We have been eating early most days this week as she transitions into her new home while staying at our house. I ate under goal every day until yesterday.

Yesterday I barely ate "Poorly" at 111% of goal but stopped eating early for the day. I exceeded my protein goal and met all activity goals. BF is down 0.1% and is FINALLY IN RANGE!!!

That's great that you could be there for your sister helping her with her transition to the new home, looking on the bright side of what you gained there and being able to do all of this at 67 years old. Achieving and passing so many milestones in your health journey. What can I say?! Bam!!!

Thanks Moopie, Keyten, Jcmama, Steven, Bill, Jaimejay and velvetee!!! Yesterday's weight and body fat entries were unusual and I'm not surprised by a rebound this morning. Still, I find it encouraging as it confirms I'm trending towards my goal of keeping my body fat in range. Thanks for your encouragement!!!

Thanks Bella!!! I'm aware that most days my journal entries aren't very exciting. I'm glad you find them interesting enough to follow. They are the road map to my journey and I try to keep it real...
