Another year another overall weight gain. Was doing so well earlier in 2018, but I think it all fell apart come the summer months and I was drinking a bottle or two of beer per day along with takeaways and the usual junk.

No point in repeating what I have said previous on here at this time of year: less talk more walk! Next weigh-in will be Saturday 12th. The target will be 15st rather than the current 15st 4.

Interestingly, however, we will soon be moving to the Lake District - a slower pace of life with plenty of opportunities for sightseeing and long walks. Just the kind of thing that will help me get the weight off once and for all.

Just do it!

Take away meals need to be a definite no beer needs to be sparingly and not In January at all and sleep and eat at the same time cut calories but have enough that you don’t feel hungry porridge for breakfast is filling and keeps you full until lunchtime Good luck 👍👍👍

Thanks, Razor. And you're right: I have been indulging in the beer and the takeaways far too much in the latter half of last year. I am now a week into another calorie-counting diet and I feel far more focused on what I am eating (although I said the same this time last year, and the year before) I think where it all falls apart for me, is during those hot summer months, and you're on holiday and you fancy a nice cold beer or two; and perhaps a takeaway or fish & chips etc. Once I start that again I find it hard to get off until January comes around I start from square one again. But I think this year will be different. :)
