Something I have seem pretty consistently, people who lift weights can drop weight rapidly when they fast. Not sure about the reason. I have fasted regularly for months. 1 pound a day average. Now that I lift, so far it is 2 pounds a day.

I'm going to get a lot of backlash from this, this food posted all looks great, but I have been eating the same steamed veges and 6 ounces of chicken breast marinated and cooked in a convection oven for the last 13 months, and have lost a total of 158 pounds.this way i dont obsess about food.

I'm not obsessing about food. I've kept weight off for 5 years and am currently at about 12 percent body fat. I've been where you are, believing that what I am doing will serve me forever, and understand, but I'm working on something entirely different. The body tends to fight back when you get this lean. It's about struggling against your body and your mind when and if you decide to go to this level. It's far less about obsessing over food than it is an exercise in self control. I've. Everyone's blood chemistry is different, and that blood chemistry changes as you get leaner. Understanding that will help you to let go of what you you currently believe and approach your goals with a pragmatic view. I do wish you well, Jonathan. My largest loss was about 75 pounds. In that, you have experienced things I have not. I appreciate and respect that. I hope you comment here again.

By the way, at one point I had it for to the same 5 meals. It worked for me. There's nothing wing with chicken and stand veggies. Keep your mind open to a little more variety. Maybe add a cup of rice with some butter. Dietary fat is an often overlooked necessity in a diet. Yes, it's calorie dense, but wow does that add to enjoyment from time to time. You are eating up your own reserves quickly with your approach, and that's great. Remember that the vitamins you get from veggies are often fat soluble, and a little dietary fat may help with assimilation.

@ Jonathan Bitner - no backlash, but we're all so different. For mental health reasons and the happiness of those around me, I could never do what you're doing. Great respect for your choice to do what works for you because after all that is the bottom line... I would be depressed and miserable beyond belief if I had to eat the same thing day after day... I'd be saying shoot me now. I am a foodie and variety is what keeps me cooking - and eating. I am food obsessed but I don't consider it a bad thing. # Northernmusician - great job - I am in awe of anyone who can fast more than 20 hours - I might get there one day - when the timing's right for me.
