Today I am very grumpy indeed. I decided to switch to weighing myself weekly, and Sundays seem like a good day to do it. Stepping onto the scales I learn that much of my recent weight loss has reversed and I am almost back to where I started.

So what has gone wrong? Well, the main thing I can think of is that I was invited out for two evening meals with friends on Friday and Saturday night. One was home cooked (and very clearly not in any way calorie controlled), and the other was at a posh restaurant friends had booked for a celebration some months ago. I tried to mitigate both by skipping lunch both days - so a serving of Huel each morning and then only the evening meals. I knew the weight was likely to go up, but GRRRRRRR. Now pretty much back where I started. So I am back on the Huel wagon this morning.

Just to worsen my mood my bad knee gave way while I was mowing the grass yesterday. It's quite bad this time. The knee has swollen badly and is about a third bigger than the good one. I've lost quite a lot of movement and can't put my weight on that leg at all. I've managed to find my walking stick, which had been at the back of a cupboard for a couple of years and may even switch onto a crutch if I can find that. So my exercise regime of at least 10,000 steps a day is also very much kaput for the foreseeable future.

Really not having a good week. However it brings home to me that I am lucky to work in the public sector now, as when I worked for a private company they were much less accommodating about my intermittent knee/mobility problems.
105 kg Lost so far: 1 kg.    Still to go: 30 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
