Not much of a drop but it is still a loss! We had a great day at Powys Castle yesterday. The gardens were amazing and we walked every inch of them for over two hours! Decided against the temptations of National Trust food and brought a low carb lunch with us and a flask. Made Bolognaise for dinner with courgetti. Hopefully I will have a better result in the scales next Thursday!

Sounds like a good day. We’ve just joined the NT after being charged £7 to park at Avebury 😱 I’m sure it will pay for itself in a year. Take care!

Phooka we do a monthly direct debit for NT, to include all our grandchildren under 16, for £9 a month. It's well worth it!

All that walking should have burnt a few calories off! Well done on the loss.

Thank you everyone! I am exhausted having made a batch of blackberry and apple jam, one of rhubarb and ginger, and a double batch of marmalade, as well as twelve Bara Briths! I think I will leave making the pastry goods until tomorrow!

You obviously enjoy cooking. Good luck with your pastry goods today 🙂

Doobrie I love cooking, especially baking even though I can't eat it! When our six children were at home I even made home made bread, now I make it for the grandchildren, they love it. All baking done and packaged ready for the car boot in the morning!

Well done! I love cooking too. You must have been kept busy with six children. I can't imagine. My two were enough of a handful, and my three granddaughters can be more so at times!

Doobrie we adopted four of our six children, our daughter when aged nine then triplet boys when aged four two years later. We now have seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren!

Wow Anne - that's amazing and very brave of you to adopt triplets! What an angel 😇

And I can't even imagine having all those grandchildren and great-grandchildren! I've only got 3 so far 😄
