Morning everyone, another good week eating healthy and doing more cardio ?
Thing is I’ve had comments from staff this week saying ..
1.. I’m looking ill now
2.. And I’m looking gaunt?
Just wondered if any of you are getting similar comments when you lose a chunk of weight , I’m asking myself a question - you can’t win ? I’m 5’ 11 and I’m trying to truly find my ideal weight , with trying to tone up the little wobbly bits like I guess we all do and gain some muscle and be happy in myself .. x

I am getting the same comments! I have set my goal @ 12.5 st and will still be medically overweight at that. I think I will be happy @ 13 st and call it a day when I get there. People don't realise that from a health point of view it is better to look 'gaunt ' than be medically obese , which I was.

To me sounds like crab bucket. When people instead of supporting saying things to upset you and make you stop to achieve your goals.

sometimes comments like that are just to shit on you because they themselves have tried and failed to lose weight. if you were 7stone then I'd say you may look gaunt, but you're not. you've done excellently. sod them

What a fantastic result! Don't let anyone ruin it with some crappy comments..

some people have no filters. it's so rude and can be quiet upsetting. tell people. well done to you for all the hard work your putting in 💪😁

Get someone to take a photo of you and decide for yourself. After family telling me I looked gaunt, I had to agree with them when I saw my photo and I'm not going to lose any more even though I originally wanted to.

I agree with a lot of the above. Believe me People do this ... they sabotage like mad!! I was at my ideal weight 132/135lbs at 5'10'' that was healthy . Strangers were checking me ie I looked fit and lean out and about. But friends and family constantly criticised me saying I was too thin/ill looking underweight . I was not underweight I did not look ill. THey also keep trying to feed you up and tempt you off the path. DO NOT LISTEN To them its from their own insecurity and failure .. I never had a thin person do this only women who were overweight themselves.. it constantly brought me down. It was a battle to refuse them all of the time... needless to say I caved a bit and since put on weight but I am now fighting like crazy to get back there. Needless to say famous women of my height are habitually between 119 and 125lbs (and are regarded as looking good) so... I assured myself it was them and not me. Human psyche is strange that the people closest to you are the ones that will try to see that you fail BE STRONG!!! I know how terrible this feels when people are constantly working against you .. its so difficult and exhausting. But I really regret losing my resolve, and its been doubly tough getting back to where I was - so do not listen to them. And please DON'T GIVE IN x

If you're at the top end of the healthy weight range and happy with yourself then ignore them. Remember that they're used to seeing you at a higher weight and their brains have probably not caught up with the change. Give them a few months and they'll be say how great you look! Regardless, your weight loss journey is about you, not them so ignore the negativity and do what makes you happy :)

To be honest Gary, if people are saying you look gaunt it may be worth getting a second opinion from someone close. It's a fine line between good dieting and not seeing a true reflection of yourself in the mirror. My sister died after years of being anorexic, she still saw a big lass in the mirror even though she was skin and bones. I'm sure you're fine, but just be careful.

So... you were both near naked in the sauna, all hot and sweaty, he was gorgeous and you were chuffed? What stopped you? Did he have a big bogey hanging from his nose or something?

Sometimes better if you don`t listen. Before people said to me ohh you look you lost weight (no I didn`t ) and now when I lost a stone they can`t see it . Just you look tired comments... we have to ignore people like them and continue the hard work. Well done !!!!!!

It’s just people reacting to change and most people don’t like change. They’ll get used to it just hang in there and if you are worried get a doctor to advice
