heidij123's Journal, 07 Dec 17

One month on, and weight is the same as it was, which is fine, but I still do want to lose 4 pounds, and obviously I have just been maintaining. So have decided to cut calories on 'normal' days again. 'Normal' days are when I don't eat out, and when I do eat out, I expect to go a little over, but not crazily over.

So the plan for 'normal' days until I've lost the 4 pounds will be:

Breakfast about 250 cals
Lunch about 300 cals
Dinner about 300 cals
Snacks about 150 cals
Total about 1000 cals

I've tried it for a couple of days already, and to my surprise it was okay, and I didn't feel hungry. I guess the tummy and the appetite have shrunk a bit 😀

Exercise needs to remain at the same level of about 3 hours walking per week. Wish I could do more, but the old knees start complaining! It's funny, but they didn't mind chasing after Pokémons for 5 hours per week in the summer. Maybe because it was warmer? Or flatter terrain? Or just more fun?

Flatter terrain and warmer I should think. The cold makes joints ache more. Maybe get some thick over the knee socks to wear 😊

Doobrie, I could knit some knee-warmers, I suppose? Not sure if they would stay up!

Glen, glad you have retired, and are exercising more. I don't know, I quite like walking on my own, as I can go at my own pace, and spend my time looking at the countryside as I walk. I sometimes walk with a friend, and enjoy the chat, but don't take other things in. No travel plans till May. Going to China for 3 weeks on a small-group tour 😀

I don't know whether knee warmers would stay up either Heidi - I sent for some but received knee highs instead - lol! Unfortunately I can't send them back because I tried them on before I realised. How exciting going to China for 3 weeks 🙂
