Following a nice 19 mile walk on Thursday today has been a rest day prior to my first formal 5K park run planned for tomorrow at 9AM. I am genuinely looking forward to this first event. Hopefully it will be good prep for my end of month and slightly more serious cross country and hilly 10K run. Somehow I have so far this week successfully managed to avoid weighing myself in what is a literal non scale event. There is no rest for me, on Sunday I am off birding at Langstone Harbour with a few mates. Now though so as to kick off the weekend proper like I am about to visit my local pub for hopefully a max of three large beers.
