Okay, well here's a thing. I am starting to feel skinny! It's ridiculous really, as I still have a good bit of fat in various places, notably the derriere, but nevertheless other places are getting bony, and a slight gap has appeared between my thighs. And, I just bought all new winter clothes in the last couple of months that currently fit perfectly, and I really, really don't want them to get too big! So today I have decided to reset my goal weight from 135lbs to 137.5lbs. It's not a big change really, but I feel happier with that, and it makes maintenance tantalisingly close 😀 It also turns my progress bar to yellow, which obviously gives me new cause for celebration 🎉🎉🎉 Wow, I honestly can't believe I'm in the 130s and looking at long-term maintenance in the very near future 😀😀😀 Definitely on cloud 9, and feeling rather giddy!

It's a good feeling and I can't wait to get there. Having said that, I did notice fewer chins when I was at the hairdresser the other week and had to tip my head forward.

Thanks! Congrats on the fewer chins, Phooka! Snoop, I will still be here, I would miss everyone, and also will need to use FS to learn to maintain, I think. Plus I have learned and got encouragement from watching others get to maintenance and stay there, so I hope I can give something back 😀

Well done Heidi!! I too am finding some bony bits, but also some wobbly bits as well! I am also quite enjoying the experience of trying on clothes in the changing rooms and not catching sight of myself in the mirror and recoiling in horror! :)

I think maintaining can be harder than dieting! But if you stay on the site, I'm sure you'll find it easy. My goal is, at the moment, 130 lbs but I've no idea whether it would be right for me to get that low. For now I'm just going to aim for that and if I think I'm losing too much I'll revise it up at a later date like you have. Enjoy sitting on that cloud! 🙂

Thanks, folks. Maria, I also look in the mirror more, mostly to check if it's really me! Doobrie, yes I think it will be easier to maintain if I stay on here. I didn't have a proper goal weight till recently, as I just didn't know what to aim for. I've been continuously overweight since I was in my thirties, and it didn't seem like it was necessarily a good idea to try and get back to a weight I might have last been in my twenties. Mind you, I know I first hit 10 stone when I was about 16, that's when I did my first diet! So I'm happy to have a goal in mind now, which I finally think is sensible and maintainable.

That's it Heidi shout it from the roof tops beautiful lady. You deserve to and so would I if it was me. You really do need to stay here and use FS to maintain this fantastic weight.. and to keep me going too X😜😜😜. But you inspire us and keep us all motivated. Bloody marvellous if you ask me X👖👗👖👗

Hi Heidi. Congratulations on losing so much weight and coming up to your target. I'm in the same boat really and our history has been a bit similar. I notice from your charts that you started in June 2015 with a weight of 12 stone 10 (178 lbs) and you've brought it down to 9 stone 13 (139.8 lbs). I also started losing weight in 2015 when I became concerned that my weight had reached 12 stone and mostly worked with a portion plate. I joined FatSecret later on and today I'm about 9 stone 12 (138.5 lbs). I haven't set a proper target yet. It's just left at 130 lbs at the moment. Like you, I'm noticing some thinner bits (in my case, arms and legs) and some fatter bits ("bums and tums"). Think the answer is to go to the gym and do a bit of toning. We'll both be in the maintenance phase soon now, so I'll be interested to see how that works out for us. Of course Christmas dinner and New Year Celebrations may put some weight on again. In my case, I'll probably be guzzling everything in sight. Good luck with everything.
