Remind yourself why you started in the first place. You can do this, buddy!

Oh but you are soooooo not out of control Jocko. Just facing it proves the absolute opposite. You know how this works.. you realise that we are human and we are smack in the middle of life and living. We are at that age in our lives, when it appears to throw up every possibility it can, without a breather You won't throw in the towel Jocko , because you have come so damn far. Let's just say you've travelled 100 miles , but backtracked 10 with your weight. Well it was your hard - working body telling you to rest a while. It's just a resting point Buddy 🚵🚵🚵

Sit down with your wife and plan out the next week's meals. Chose things you like and she likes to cook that match the way of eating that worked so well for you before. I know life's stressful at the moment as well as your hernia re-opening but at least take back that bit of control and you'll feel better and probably turn the tide. All the best, my friend - PM me if you need to rant at someone, I'm usually around x

Good comments from everybody. You can't change what life throws at you, but you CAN change your reaction to it. Have a really good wallow if you need to, make yourself as miserable as you can. Then you'll find that the only way is up - and I'm not talking about weight here!

You are down a pound from Oct. 30 to Nov. 4. Stress itself will cause weight gain even without the comfort foods. I had to address my stress issues to get back on track.

Seeing the drop in the last few days that LadyinDenim mentioned, try to look at that now, not what's happened weeks ago that, frankly, is water under the bridge at this point. This is time to look ahead, not behind, and if anything, try to spend time focusing on your mindset about these events - and how to handle them in future. For this reason, I also echo Heidi's comments about focusing on changing how you react to those little stones life flings at you. Your body - you, as a person - deserve more than to "eat your feelings"! ! It may sound harsh but we must not treat our bodies as repositories for rough days. Food is NOT there to make up for our anger, our depression, our boredom, our guilt, our loneliness, our frustration. That is not it's job, and when you find yourself doing that, dig deep into that logical, rational, engineer mind of yours and apply that mental power to yourself. Build the blueprint OUT of this, Jocko. You do not need to literally absorb the external stresses of life in the form of food. That's my tough love for the day, for what it's worth.

O my! I feel your pain:( I have been there myself and regained weight I had worked so hard to lose....it stinks.....but the good news is that if u do get back at it now....your metabolism will be revved up so you should have broken any plateau and show some really good losses.
