I think I will put the protein bars in the freezer for use only in emergencies (when I don't have time to eat properly after a workout) They are 19g per 100g of sugar which is high. The protein powder claims to be 3.3g per 100g which is OK. I suspect it has sweetners in it which aren't being listed as sugars though. I will finish this cycle then re assess. My problem is that at 50 years old it is difficult to maintain muscle. I don't want to lose what I have worked so hard for over the years! Thats why I take the protein powders. Didn't need to in my younger years!
