Very surprised to have lost weight this week. Pleased too, of course! I think that recording everything is helping loads. It's easy to see how even small indulgences can slow me down, and I have to say that's putting me off the sweet things altogether. I have also discovered that diet soft drinks and low-cal jelly stop me craving other sweet stuff, so will use that knowledge in future.

I'm also keeping up with the exercise, and feel I have more energy. I'm hoping to do some longer walks, and have set myself a tentative goal of being able to walk to the masts and back by the end of September. It's probably about an hour each way. I guess I'd better set up another challenge for that!

My new guitar is heavy, so is giving me a good upper body workout each time I use it! It's strengthening my hands too, and I can play a basic version of Banks of the Ohio. Working on a more interesting bass line now.
