Don’t stop your healthy habits — you don’t have to be gone a long time (but they could handle it if you were), doing your routine to help maintain the habit is important for your wellbeing. Do you know why the estrangement is happening? Is there anything that you feel you could facilitate to help pull it back together? 

Thank you Kenna! I just got home, I was with my parents for five days and did two walks instead of the three runs I would normally have done in that time. I have no idea what’s going on with my sister because she became the most estranged from me first and no one knew why (except maybe my brother but he’s not talking). Increasingly she has become more estranged from everyone else and I was heartbroken to hear that she’s only seen my parents once briefly all year even though she lives very close to them and didn’t even send my dad a text on Father’s Day. None of us know what we did to deserve the estrangement. I am going to try to see if my brother will try to investigate and fix whatever is going on with her. He probably won’t want to but I think he may be our best hope.
