It’s a primal thing. I swam too far out today. The sea mingled with the sun.
“L’éternitéeee,” my son used to tease me as I contemplated on swimming toward the sunset aka oblivion. I get my son and my brother mixed up in my dreams.

Is the water there as cold as the Pacific ocean

The water here has been quite warm and soft since last month, but of course it gets significantly colder as you swim away from the shore. It’s rather frightening, a good reminder to turn around.

There is a danger in being caught up in the moment.

The ocean is very seductive, alluring. To become one with the ocean is to lose oneself, become a part of something larger seeming infinite. Emphasis on losing oneself. Our lives are short enough, please don't rush yours. I'll be heading down the coast and would like to see you alive and well. :-)

Shirfleur I simply wish I were a fish, or an octopus 🐙

Breezy I grew up in a small island in Asia before it was sterilized by the western culture, and my understanding of the ocean is not very romantic. There is no room for poetry in the ocean🌊 I am now finding out that the boat people of Hong Kong now live onshore. Life is filth and art is filth, and that’s why I love Beethoven. Would you listen to the last movement of Waldstein sonata with me?

What a beautiful picture! I've never seen the Atlantic Ocean, but would love to some day. Somehow I imagine it to be more hostile and menacing... maybe because of the hurricanes?

Ginome, hello birthday kid🎂 Have you eaten the durian yet? It wasn’t easy to capture an image without people in it. You don’t wanna know what trouble I went through just to get this shot🤣

CJ, morning. I was surprised to see you in a wintercoat yesterday. I guess it’s not summer yet over there. It was a very nice photo you posted. I’d say the waves of the Atlantic is a little harsher. It’s amazing how much crap we mankind filled this ocean with. Naval warfare, slave trade etc. I am, however, partial to the whaling history.

Cubic meter😂 that’s SO authentically you Tim! No worries, I’m not crazy, but that’s the problem. Anywho, I’m on my way to… Brunswick County! The land of Tim & Zach. I will wave, you’d better wave back👋

Yfritz, all those trouble is worth it in the end. Don't you think. Ah! The durian, lol, I still have some in the fridge. Couldn't bring myself to finish it like I normally would thinking I'm on diet. Probably I'll make a durian coconut cream soup tomorrow for my son.

Not summer yet! 60s for day temps, 50s at night, with brief patches of sunshine 🌥...Spring lingers on😊
