"Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves." ~ Henry David Thoreau.

So since my last post I've returned to jujitsu and my knee has been kind to me. But I feel real frustrated with everything, my potential "diagnosis", yesterday I spent more time in bad positions playing defence and having to gruel my way to any form of dominant positions and fight harder to keep them and my cardio felt no existent. My breathing was all over the place and even though I've been smoke free for 2 months felt like I'd smoked 40 a day and ran a marathon. To me yesterday was a real wake up call to realise that even 4 small weeks of rest and foot of the gas mentality (all be it I was resting an injury) could dent my progress so much and on top of my already fatigued mind and body from my illness just really gave me the wake up required to realise how lost I was. Going from 40 hours a week for 14 plus years to 0. Going 100mph to 0 and having to reevaluate my entire direction really inspired today's quote. And now I understand this one a little more.
