First time I come across these, didn't even know they existed, seems even the chocolate manufacturers are trying to do better, either that or just keep up with trends. What do you guys think?

I used to love Boost. Now, after a 30 day juice fast and 2 weeks of healthy, low carb eating I just can't eat them - came off sugar, I suppose. I just checked the nutritional values for the Boost plus Protein and I was gobsmacked: 249kcal (for 1 bar, <50gr), 13g fat, 17g pure sugar. Makes me think the "plus Protein" is a clever marketing gag to hide that it's still mostly sugar 🤷‍♀️

Are you trying to increase your protein intake? Seems like a lot of calories and sugar if it’s a treat. Probably better off with some nuts and a piece of fruit for a sweet/protieny snack. Lol I don’t think proteiny is a word 😂

I didn't buy it myself, the missus did as I probably wouldn't have even picked it up in the first place, personally. I used to have a bit of a sweet tooth, and loved sweet things but now I would rather just have a nice salad with meat and/or cheese. I have no bother keeping protein well above 100g a day so wouldn't normally even consider trying something like this. For me, a treat is more like getting an Indian takeaway some items of which are actually quite healthy, lots of protein, herbs and spices etc. P.S I did actually eat it a bit before going to the gym, so ending up curling and benching the calories away lol😁

Lol I would just stick to what you have been doing then, it’s clearly working! And ditch that snack 👎 😂

if you want to increase protein just get a small portion on chicken . consumer liars at their best ! this will still be packed with sugar . ( but yeah they do taste nice lol😉)

Yes there's still a fair bit of sugar in it, it does taste OK, but I actually prefer the taste of a lot of much healthier foods now anyway
