I could not believe it when I heard abot the massacre at the CT elementary school. It makes your heart hurt so terribly for those families and students. There are so many times that I find myself thankful that my daugther is 19 and I no longer have to worry about the dangers she will be exposed to in school. It is not that I think she is immune to dangers now, but this is a place that we think our kids should be safe from harm. It feels like there is no place safe these days. I worry as a parent, yes even though she is 19. I can only imagine the worry that parents today (of underage kids) must have. Any problem or complaint that I could have today is nothing in comparison to what these people must be going through and for what those poor little souls went through. Very sad day and all I can do is keep them all in my prayers and hope and pray that everyone else is doing the same.
I hope the shooter has a special place in hell.

Same here but my son is a senior this year, next here he is in National Guard, the year after college...someday days he hangs at our local mall, other times he goes to the movies with friends. As I was reading online what had happened my son out of the blue during his lunch text me today to ask me a question, I thought it was a nice sign that I needed as my heart was breaking for all those that lost their lives today.

I'm not sure If I ever mentioned that I live in CT, about 1/2 hour from Newtown. I am heartbroken for the families. As happy as I am to have my boys coming home from college tomorrow (& believe me they will each get an extra, extra long hug), I am so saddened that those families will never get to welcome their children home for the holidays:(
