Just thinking.... what is the point of cauliflower 'rice' and pizzabase and stuff like that?
Never done the 'rice', can't see the point, and someone brought me the cauli pizza.... one mouthful and it went in the compost and I never threw food away before. ..
I love cauliflower and used to eat loads. But using it as a stodge substiture, really?
I just don't get it.
It is just plain wrong on SO many levels.

It’s to cut down on carbs. Personally I think cauliflower rice is vile lol, I’ve never tried the pizza, but after trying the ‘rice’ I really wouldn’t want to 😂

Cauliflower rice/mash is a good substitute for potatoes which are high in carbs. I’d rather forego the pizza though lol

I use the “rice” as a substitute for real rice. But I dry fry it with some flavour like garlic salt or curry powder. With a meal like chilli / curry I don’t notice the difference. Helps me keep the carb count down. As for the pizza idea......if I’m having pizza, it’s a treat and I’m going to enjoy it. Nothing can substitute a fine Italian stone baked base 🍕some people also use it as a substitute for mash potatoes although as I’ve never been a big potato fan I’ve never been tempted to try.

Hey, thanks for the comments folks! I get that it is to cut down on carbs, I have been low carb for years, before it was even called low carb in the mainstream, but WHY go for FAKE carbs???? Surely better nutrition and better satisfaction/satiety from an extra spoonful of chilli or curry or whatever than to bulk up on almost no energy. These meals do not need the carb filler/fake carb filler if they are properly balanced and portioned. Physically full and under nourished is a recipe for disaster. I still can't understand weight loss approaches that promote physically filling the stomach with low food value or even water while leaving the whole body under nourished. ... ... Maybe people LOVE cauli 'rice' and look forward to any meal opportunity which includes it. I am sure I will be told. :)
