How you do portion your rice? I was raised half a cup per person. I used a small cup wanted 3 portions so did 1 and half cups. Cooked it. Then went back to packet for calories. 190g cooked is 266 calories so weighed out portions. My cup and half was actually just over 5 serving size portions. Crazy how people could go over very easy and cups getting bigger. I froze left overs i love egg fried rice

I actually weigh mine out at 100g but when I do my son’s I use a teacup. No idea what that equates to but it’s more than 100g.

I re read packet and 75g dry was 190g cooked so confusing lol i usually use frozen portions, boil in bag or packet but had a bag rice. I love rice

I was always taught a fistful of rice per person - just scrunch it out of the bag/jar. I use that still when I do rice. I believe the theory is each person’s hand matches their stomach capacity or something like that.

I cook it then weigh it. I usually have 100g in my bowl

portion sizes are crazy. For things like muesli, seriously 50g, about 1/4 cup.

If I cook to much rice and what’s left goes in fridge for next day to cook vegetable egg fried rice 👍.

I was shocked at portions for pasta, rice , cereal when first started counting. Cheese was my biggest. Never had a big cheese craving but when i did would be cheese on toast and to see the calories were huge. Butter was another. Small changes go along way tho i suppose

I'm seriously lazy... I do microwavable rice. :) Half a pack is one portion, only takes 2 minutes, and no washing of pots.
