Spoke with GP this morning as chest still congested, although energy levels up very slightly. Another week of antibiotics prescribed, hopefully that should knock the chest infection/bronchitis on the head. Doctor did say it could be a further 2 weeks or more before I feel back to normal so taking things slowly.

while you are on antibiotics make sure you take probiotics with it. maybe biokult pills or bio yoghurt will do the trick. you need to put good bacteria back into your system which is killed by antibiotics...and also eat plenty of vitamin C would recommend strawberries and oranges..get well soon

I'm having bronchitis now - I was off sick for a week and another week WFH. I didn't take any antibiotics although GP was about to prescribe one straight away - just asked him if there is any other way as they messing with my guts and he said to try battle it with natural remedies, it will go away just will take a bit longer. Still having a bit of chesty cough, but so glad I didn't agree to take antibiotics.

I started off 2 and a half weeks ago with herbal gel capsules (myrtle oil) which are antimicrobial antiinflammatory antibacterial. It killed off the bacteria as mucus was initially green but hasn't touched the infection. I too am not keen on antibiotics but feel they are necessary for me at the moment.
