Not managed a workout yet today, so will see how the day progresses. I will fit in an extra walk besides the one to work this afternoon.
We've booked to see some live jazz tomorrow evening at our local Museum (to celebrate our anniversary 10 days ago) so I'm really looking forward to that. Decided to go out for brunch rather than dinner so we'll do two separate walks tomorrow as well. And then Sunday might be brighter weather as well so a walk in the park will be on the cards as well.
I'm not to bothered by the minor loss. I haven't stuck to IF again this week and calories have been slightly high. So, next week will be better!
Hope you're all doing well! Have a great weekend! xxx

Losing 0.1 kg a Week
25 October 2023
This morning I did:
Caroline Girvan - 5 Min Full Body Warm Up with Caroline Girvan
Followed by her:
IRON Series 30 Min Superset Arms, Abs and Core Workout | 20
And then, because the cool-down stretches were too short for my liking, I did:
Daniela Suarez - 7 MIN STRETCHING EXERCISES AFTER WORKOUT (New) | FULL BODY COOL DOWN FOR RELAXATION & FLEXIBILITY
I mostly used my 5kg weights, but alternated on just a few of the moves. Found the push-ups and planks quite harsh so did some on knees and used a resistance band for help as well.
Something interesting I watched yesterday gave me lots of food for thought:
RESPIRE - Neuroscientist: "This Simple Skill Will Keep You Motivated" | Andrew Huberman
So I was trying to enjoy the workout focusing on the effort itself, rather than an end reward. I never do usually anyway. But, during the workout I knew I would really enjoy the hot shower afterwards too. Maybe the shower is part of the 'work/effort' process though - and not the reward at the end. If I didn't put the work in I'd just have a normal shower instead of a really satisfying one where I feel like I started my day off the right way. And I think some of my reward would be when I look at myself in the mirror again and see a difference with my muffin-top or bat-wings.
Anyhoo, then we've had some good weather today so went for an hour long walk in the park with hubby. I'll walk to work this evening too and for the rest of the week as well.
So, the plan is to do another workout on Friday morning, and perhaps this time a full-body one.
Happy Wednesday all! Two months to Christmas. xxx

This morning I did:
Kaleigh Cohen Strength - 30-minute Shoulders & Arms SUPERSET Strength Training
Followed by her:
Upper Body Post-Workout Stretch
I used 5kg and 2.5kg and alternated on some moves. All-in-all quite a good workout, but not my favourite so I won't be adding it to my rotation.
Glad I got up and did if after setting my alarm for 6:30, then 7:30, then actually waking up at 7am and finally getting out of bed at 8am to workout. Not easy when ones bed is warm and toasty and it's dark outside, but it is a work in progress.
Happy Monday all! xxx

This afternoon I did:
Kaleigh Cohen Strength - 30-minute Upper Body Strength Training with Dumbbells
Followed by her:
15-minute POST-WORKOUT STRETCH for Injury Prevention & Flexibility
Good fun with 5kg weights, but I did the warm up bit with 2.5kg. I love the stretches afterwards. Only did a 45ish minute walk this evening before dinner so I'll hopefully get some more steps in tomorrow.
Watching South Africa vs England in the Rugby World Cup semi-final later. I'll be happy whichever team wins, but it should be a good game. Kind of exciting!
Hope you're all having a great weekend! xxx

So this week has not gone too well. So far I've managed 2 of the 3 strength workouts I'm aiming for - so might do the third tomorrow. IF flew out the window since Tuesday already hence my calories are rather high for week days and it didn't help that hubby brought home Christmas Mince Pies and so of course I had those as well.
I think I've managed to keep protein higher than usual so I'll try to keep that up and then I'll just try to improve on the other things next week and onward. I think I've averaged about 5k steps a day, which is lower than I'd like, but I think Google Fit sometimes doesn't measure everywhere I'm walking so rather frustrating. I'm walking to work again this evening (for the 3rd time this week) and will walk in to town or to the park over the weekend while hubby is working - and depending on the weather as always.
Anyhoo, so it's a loss of only 1.25kg since my official first weigh-in on the new scale on Monday morning. Much higher than my previous weight on FS recorded on my old scale, but that's ok. Progress needs to be made.
Have a lovely weekend all! xxx
