This is after two weeks of experimenting with not counting calories. In the first week, I went over 68kg again and now it's come down again.
Averaging around 9k steps a day and trying to drink lots of water. Also having 2 tbsp ACV a day either in herbal tea or I prefer it in food (savoury or oats) and beetroot, which I love anyway. Re-introduced those along with trying to reduce stress to get my blood pressure down to normal. I've finally bought a kit to take readings at home after another spike while seeing the nurse at the end of April. Still not sure if they'll put me on meds, but time will tell.
Sorry I've been absent on here. Not sure when my headspace will allow me to come back and be present so I've just been dipping in very occasionally. And sometimes, like this morning, the app is so glitchy and just annoys me.
Hope you're all doing well and living the good life! Have a lovely weekend! xxx

Tracked reasonably well this week and step count has been good hence a long-awaited drop. Might inspire me to keep tracking calories through the weekend, but we'll see how it goes.
Hope you all are well! x

Losing 1.1 kg a Week

Running out of steam and not tracking over the weekends. I am allowing my 3 hour evening cleaning job to be my only exercise right now, along with a 35m walk to there three times this week. Will hopefully average 10k daily steps again this week, but it might be lower.
Felt a bit off this week like some of the perimenopause symptoms I had last year were coming back. I'm trying to be mindful about it and stay positive so it doesn't take me down further.
The low temperatures have been rather annoying, so I'm hoping that the forecast for 16 degrees next week is true so I can start to really enjoy spring. It's just been a bit too friggin' freezing lately!
I hope you all have a great weekend! xxx

Slow going, but at least it's in the right direction. I stopped tracking calories last Saturday and Sunday and then started up on Monday again. Not been doing too well by going over targets, but I'm still trying. Will see how the weekend goes.
Eating out this morning and tomorrow for breakfast and brunch, but life goes on... I may or may not try to guestimate those.
This weekend, I'll be catching up on work and trying to fit in some downtime. I may need to draw up my next 12 week plan for getting back to strength training and toning up, but maybe that will start in May.
Hope you're all well! Have a great weekend! xxx

Losing 0.3 kg a Week

Some pics from my holiday. It's been 6 years since both my sisters and I were together. We're 4 years apart and I am the middle man (as my family liked to call me).
We visited Boulders Beach to see the penguin colony there (Gib_Jig, you'll remember we talked about watching the series ages ago), the Spice Route in Agter Paarl, Chapman's Peak Drive and Hout Bay, Cape Point, the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa, Robben Island, the South African National Gallery and Company Gardens and of course the V&A Waterfront. We also had a holiday within the holiday and spent a few days in the beautiful seaside town of Hermanus, which is 1.5 hours drive south east of Cape Town.
Just about every day was packed with activity and in-between we had a few braais and birthday celebrations with close family and I got to meet up with a dear old friend too. This was our first time back since my mom's passing in 2020 so sometimes emotional, but many new treasured memories were made with my two nieces and my brother-in-law too.
It will be a few years before I can go again as we're hoping to buy a house before the end of the year and money will be tight for a while. Hopefully the time will fly though! x
