So - I have been on YouTube to do a few calculations and I am just going to note them here so I don't forget -
My BMR = 1308 cals/day
If I am moderately active I should burn 2027 cals/day
To lose 1lb I need to burn an excess of 3500 calories/week (500/day)
So - using that calculation - since I started I should have lost about 2.5lbs in my 1st week (+ a bit more for water loss in first week, which always happens) so tomorrow I am going to weigh myself and see what the result actually is.......... watch this space!!!!

Start of the 2nd week and going strong. Saturday, indulged in a whole bottle of bubbly but heyho, next day start again, still burned more calories than I consumed. However, although it has been a week I don't want to weigh myself just incase the scales haven't moved much for the amount of effort I have put in or I will be discouraged and give up so best not to know and continue as I mean to go on.

Well, consiering yesterday was my 'bad' day, I only went 21 calories over my daily allowance - yippee! Did an extra 15minutes in the gym as well to compensate for it, OMG are we heading for success or what!!!

Day 6 - well - Friday is usually one of my 'bad' days as I go to the pub after work and usually down at least 4 glasses of wine before heading home via the fish and chip shop! So, the alternative is going to be gin and slimline tonics and a couple of saveloys with a handful of chips at most instead of the southern fried chicken and chips I usually down!!
Lets see how successful I am!

Day 5 - gym at 6.30 again - feel a bit sick after I finished :o(
Feeling hungry and thirsty, sick and cold - probably over doing it :o(
Mind you - my dinner last night was very tasty, will definitely have that again!
On the positive side, feeling very +ve and quite amazed with myself at how relatively easy I am finding it.
Keep going, keep going..........
