Okay - 3rd day of getting up early to go to the gym and I feel absolutely knackered!! Why is it sometimes when you go to the gym you feel great after you workout and other times you feel as if you won't be able to make it through the rest of the day! Well, today is one of those days! :o(

Another Monday - but a great weekend. Overdid the wine on Friday (as usual) but compensated for it by doing an hours workout at the gym before going out. Nice walk on Sunday and up at 5.30 this morning to go to the gym before work.
Pleased because can get into my jeans that were too tight at Christmas so at least the inches are coming off as well!

When I say I've follwed the diet 100% that isn't quite true, but there isn't an option for '
very well except 1 day
'because Friday is always my down the pub day with 5 glasses of wine and a baileys and a hotdog, oh dear :o(
Never mind, still doing the gym, which always makes me feel good and all the other days I am following strictly to the letter so I don't feel guilty at all.

Okay - 1st weigh in - trying not to be disappointed as I know I should be pleased. All the usual things pop into my head - muscle weighs more than fat, takes longer to lose weight than to put it on, for the number of calories burned this is the right amount of weight to expect to lose.Still, I remember when I was younger, the first week of my diet would usually show 4 or even 5lbs weight loss in the first week with the return to 1-2lbs loss the weeks after that. Never mind, older and harder to lose now so on a positive note the needle on the scales has at last moved in the opposite direction to the one it has been moving for the last year or so - yippee!, hooray! and BRING IT ON! Lets continue to go for it!
Come on all you dieters - grit those teeth, smile as you pop that mouthful of salad leaves in your mouth and look forward to the weekend when you can splurge out on the extra calories you have stored up over the week! haha :o)
