Happy New Year Everyone.

I have been unwell for several years with a condition that rears its ugly head now and again, it reared recently and I have not followed my plan.

I have decided to maximise my calorie intake to lose 1 to 2lbs a week and will try most days to stay under my daily allowance to encourage more weightloss.

My mate bought me some raspberry ketone pills and some colon cleasing pills all natural products from a health store. I guess its worth trying them. I will mention any effects I feel in future journals and I do not believe weightloss is in a pill.. its in eating less food than your body needs that produces weightloss overall.

I am going to re-introduce exercise into my plan from tomorrow, an hour in the gym and I will try to walk more. I have severe joint pains and back pains therefore find it hard to exercise. I will do what I can when I can, it can only benefit me.

I know I have lost 5 1/4 lbs since December 29th 2013 but for someone of my size its not very good, but its a loss. I hope it is going to become a trend for me. I will weigh in weekly. I do not want to yoyo up and down but I guess it happens on our weightloss journeys. I want to maintain a loss or maintain.

We need our buddies on here as much as they need us. I have spoken to a few of you last year and found it inspiring how well you are doing. I hope to succeed as you guys have done, over time and with patience.

I will try write a regular journal as its something I can look back on. It may help and inspire others too.

Got up early this morning at 4am as one of the dogs was not well. I had to clean up in the kitchen and then decided to catch up on my soaps on playback tv.

To start my moving more routine plans, I had a walk round the village as part of my exercise at a steady pace. I am building up my activity daily. I work at a desk most days and try to get up every 20 to 30 minutes for a walk around and a hot drink if I needed one. I drink mostly green and black teas. I have been told they help with losing weight.

This evening I had a light dinner and 2 hours after dinner going to workout with some weights. I do some stepping to start with and some swats then do the weights. I will of course stretch before and after the exercise which is very important to stop me getting too sore later.

BTW the dog has been fine most of the day. He just had an off night.

Tomorrow Friday is my indulgence day and I can have a few more treats than usual. I am going to have a Tex Mex Pizza as been looking forward to it all week. I know .. too many carbs! but if I do not treat myself once a week I am more likely to fall off the waggon.

I want to thanks Keld and Draglist for their advice. I hope to follow them and get a slimmer body in the future.

I have set a target of losing 25 lbs by the last day of february so my total losses should amount to 35 lbs by then. I need to modify my meals to eat less carbs for maximising weight loss. I love my carbs and have a weakness for crisps and warburtons toastie bread. I can have it in moderation I have been told. I have a large jar of pickled green chillies to nibble at to help speed up my metabolism, so I am doing a lot of things to help me along LOL.

I am into my 3rd week now and lost 10 lbs up to my last weigh in. I have another 135 lbs to lose to reach my long term target and 25 lbs to reach my short term one.
