Hang In there Cinnabar, I've been through the weightloss thing a dozen times and the one good thing about my yo-yoing is the reseach, sometimes our body does what is called a plateau, and just stop dead in it's track, continue to do what you are doing or your can switch it up, either way as long as you follow a healthy regimen with consist exercise, you may not see a change on the scale for as much as three months and the next thing you know 30lbs gone, true story, my story,:-)Fact: It takes calories to burn calories. When you decrease your food intake, your body simply lowers its metabolic rate in response. This still allows the body to function properly, but ultimately your body requires fewer calories which creates hunger and prevents you from losing fat. Solution: Keep your calories slightly below your maintenance calories so that your energy and metabolism remain high. A deficit greater than 500-700 calories makes it much more difficult to maintain your lean body mass. To determine your approximate daily caloric needs, use this formula:

How long have you been following your plan? Are you following the plan as written or are you changing things up? Some people have said they have had problems losing when they eat Atkins bars. Are you watching your caloric intake? Have you read the book to be sure your following the diet properly? Have you tried sample menu plans to see if you lose better following them as written? You have to give the plan a couple of weeks to see if it will work. Notice how your clothes fit along with the scale.
