It is a horrible, grey, damp, misty day here. I am waiting on a visit from the District Nurse. It will be a stranger today, so we will see what she makes of the situation. Today I am going pain killer free. One of my buddies and ex work colleague is coming in for a visit this evening and it is our intention to try a selection of the fine Malt whiskys I have in my cupboard. Normally I am driving so we don't get a chance to imbibe, but I have no such constraints today. I am really looking forward to it.

Your post sets the mood for the visit from the new, strange nurse as if it were a horror story ... "It is a horrible, grey, damp, misty day here. I am waiting on a visit from the District Nurse. It will be a stranger today ...." I can just see it turning into a real chiller, thriller novella. Ha Ha! I hope the nurse's prognosis is positive and encouraging ..... and have fun with you friend this evening! Cheers!

Going without pain killers is not a good idea. I am in agony and running a temperature. I ended up taking two 500mg Paracetamol at tea time and I will take two more at bed time.
Nurse was not well prepared but she changed my dressing and will come back on Thursday. She asked if I had a care plan, and when I said no she said she would prepare one. She only started in the job today and the previous incumbent is off on holiday!

At least you can have a drink with paracetamol :)
No interaction according to the British National Formulary (the book/website all doctors use for looking up medicines and their interactions), unless you have liver disease.

I should have taken the Paracetamol all day, but I know better now.
