chesgreen's Journal, 12 Mar 16

Happy weekend FS family. My very 1st day of the riding season, I hit a patch of sand in a corner and I got thrown off my motorcycle into the street and slid into the curb.

in a lot of pain, ribs and inner thigh. I am being stubborn and not going to the hospital yet. This took place yesterday. With the bruised and or cracked ribs, very painful getting in and out of the bed, car, shower, couch, everything.

I will not try and eat away this pain. I will make you guys proud this week on my weekly weigh in. Pray for me as I recover.

-Ches

It's 3:41 am and after going to the bathroom at 3 am, wife had to help me lay back down because the pain was agonizing. Dr's Express opens at 8 am and I will be there. I held out for a day and a half. Can't sleep anymore. This is a great time to fast so my body can focus on recovery vs digestion. I have to look at the positive now. Med kicking in again. Good night / morning warriors.

Hope you're doing better. Get to doctor. As a former motorcyclist I was taught that the most dangerous times to ride are in spring before the first heavy rain, as the roads have the residual sand on them that is spread during the winter. Of course if you live where is doesn't snow you have to deal with wind blown sand I suppose.

Good morning FS family. I went to the Dr this morning even though I have improved movement and didn't feel the need to go again when I woke up. They took x-rays of my shoulder and back. Nothing appears to be cracked or broken in the initial reviews of the x-rays. I appears that I just have multiple bruises. The radiologist will review the x-rays and get back to me in a few hours if there are concerns. Fasting is going well and when I pick up my prescription, I can take it on an empty stomach. I am definitely getting mentally stronger because when I got home, I was greeted by the smell of bacon. I just made some tea and now sipping on it while I write this post. I will break my fast at dinner at parents house early evening. I have to remind my family not to discuss the accident or else my mother will find a way to get rid of my bike tomorrow while everyone is at work and school. Make it count everyone. Take care

I hate gravely roads, though I remember riding a motorcycle down a gravel road at 60 MPH in shorts. Yeah, just shorts. Must have been an angel on the back of the bike.
