Strawberry blossom I currently run 4 compost stations. Compost, when it’s done right, does not smell like garbage. The other day I stuck my arm in the steamy core of leaf mould, and its cleansing scent struck me so hard that a few areas of my brain woke up. Composting made me mindful of the way I eat. I generate very little kitchen waste now. It also keeps me busy - even on the most dormant day I burn a decent amount of calories - there’s a lot to be done to maintain the microbial activities in those compost bins. I am not a green conscious woman, I scoff whenever I hear greenwashing nonsense, and I don’t trust anyone who claims composting “saves the planet.” The. Planet. LOL. I detest hyperbolic expressions like that. When the decomposing leaves struck my nostrils with the scent of ancient Buddhist temples, I was humbled, humbled by the generosity of the nature. For once I was the recipient. I am perpetually surrounded by people who take, take, take, and I am tired of their platitudes and tired of suppressing what matters to me. The intimacy with which my garden knew me shocked me. The dead leaves, microbes, earthworms, rain, heat, frost, and most of all, time, operate reliably to generate the scent that rearranges the way I reckon time, it is the scent that brings back the most beautiful moments of my life, those players in my backyard accept my sorrow and they keep giving, giving, giving, and that is the reason why choose to run 4 compost stations and spinning my tumbler like a hamster on a wheel.

Современное жилое пространство выглядит таким безжизненным и холодным. Я люблю твой дом, наполненный растениями, старыми пластинками, теплым солнечным светом, и я представляю, как на полу разбросано несколько кусочков шелкового нижнего белья🤣 Мне нравится это в тебе.

Здравствуй! Хм, если бы это была первая книга, которую я держу в руках, то я бы ответила - хорошо. Хэнкс - не мечтатель, а я так ждала рассказа о Путешествии в самодельной ракете на луну. Все, о чем он пишет - хватает в реальной в жизни, а реальность,сейчас, не самая приятная вещь. Я бы занесла в свой бесконечный список книг, рекомендации от тебя. Какая книга тебя действительно поразила?

Ира, плодовитость вашего ума поражает. Из моего скромного дневника вы привели меня к цитатам Уильяма Джеймса и Бертрана Рассела. Я изучил эти цитаты и наткнулся на другую, написанную Оливером Уэнделлом Холмсом.

Diana, I didn’t know Red Lobster was closing until I read your journal… one of my dear patients gave me a Red Lobster gift card about 7 years ago, and I still have it. She passed away. I guess I’ll just keep the card in remembrance of the courage she exhibited throughout her lengthy illness. She talked about Red Lobster very very passionately. A lovely lady, she was a fierce activist during the civil rights era.

Supe! 330 million pounds of food waste per DAY in the US alone. It scares the shit out of me! I always hated wasting food. Japan was historically plagued by famines, plus the memory of food scarcity during the WWII was still very vivid for my parents’ generation, and they tirelessly taught my generation not to waste food. I considered raising backyard chickens too, but the county doesn’t allow roosters and that’s no fun. Plus the size of my lot doesn’t meet the requirement🥲 Bye bye chicken dream🐓 You life seems full of richness and I am in awe. I so respect you for many, many reasons. You are a real badass.

Kat, you have dogs! Why do you even need a composter? Don’t they eat kitchen scraps? My greedy GSD was my roomba, my trash bin🤣 He processed everything (even cat poop occasionally). One day I was making fun of a pretentious lady who owned a horse named “Legally Gray.” My son decided that our GSD kinda looked like a horse and we started calling him “Legally Greedy.”

Thank you, Yfritz ❤️ All those years ago Hubby & I met on a blind date. It was not love at first sight. We like to joke about me telling the friend that introduced us that although he was nice, I didn't think he was my type. He persistently pursued me & made me realize he might be exactly my type 😏 It wasn't long before I was head over heels in love. The rest is history.

Lol roosters doesn’t give you eggs. Tho they are cool to look at. Get yourself a pair of hens and you’ll be fascinated at how insatiable their appetite can be!
