When I was vegan I tried so hard to convince myself to like tempeh. I tried all kinds of style and I don’t like it lol

Lol I like it but it is a strange food, I can understand that better than when people say they don’t like tofu. But it’s supposed to be easier on digestion than tofu

Yea it’s fermented through white fungi. Taste nutty with some bitterness to it. From what I read people said it tasted like meat lol have you tried quorn meatless pieces? Not their chicken nuggets one. These meatless blocks taste kinda like chicken breast when you cook with them. They saved me when I was vegan

I just eat meat— a small portion just once in a while.

Supergainz I do like quorn nuggets though I haven’t had those in a while. I think the store is more focused on the newer nugget brands now like impossible nuggets, those are good too

Kenna everyone has different preferences and thoughts, I have tried meat and tried being vegan and vegetarian and I currently prefer plant foods with some occasional animal foods, mostly fish and free range eggs. Glad you found what works for you

Oh super I misread your post. I do like the nuggets. But yes I have also tried the quorn chik ‘n breasts too. I used to make Cajun chicken pasta with them, it might be time to pull out that recipe again

I personally don’t mind vegetarian meat substitutes overall. It’s the vegan cheese that used to bug me… 😛 but some brands have started making tasty vegan cheese too more recently

Yea I still eat the myco proteins from time to time. They soak up flavor pretty good

I’ll have to look for those again, super, I haven’t seen them lately but think maybe they are in a different aisle than the impossible nuggets

Have you tried beyond burgers? I use it to make a fake burrito with brown rice and black beans Pico de gallo and low carb low cal tortilla. It was really good. Only problem i ever had, and was the tastiest, was i seasoned the burgers heavily with johnnys seasoning on both sides like a crust. Was so yummy but the sodium was so high too and i paid for that for a couple days with water retention. Lesson learned. Im a terrible cook so all of you who make these yummy looking things I’m so envious
