Had been struggling with my depression with a while. First lockdown really made it worse. Libido has gone out the window, much to my husbands disappointment.
Anyhow, booked an appointment with a psychologist. I went & she then asked me to go get blood tests done to check my thyroid hormone levels as alot of the issues could be put down to hypothyroidism. I told my husband it would be great if it was that because at least then I could get treatment & it would explain so much of what's going on. My husband will be over the moon too 🤣
To compound all that, I'm peri-menopausal too 🙈
If anyone has any advice to offer, I'm all ears.
I know I've no diagnosis or test results yet but my eggs have been well & truly placed into this basket.

No advice on the medical side but I must say that menopause is a b!tch then some! I found that exercise helped stabilise moods and healthy eating supplemented with a few treats helped sanity. All the best!

hi jade carpet, I suffer with hypothyroid, and I am now on livthyroxine tablets 75mg ,they had to test my blood's on and off for a while to get the right mg for me but once that was sorted I found once I'd been taking them for a while I had more energy and felt more evened out but hope your OK and good luck hope you get sorted out soon

Sounds like everything is piling up on you! Are you being treated for depression? EVERYTHING life throws at you affects libido!

I'm hypothyroid and have mental health issues too. Cutting out carbs, drinking more water and daily exercise really helps, if ur not ready to go to a gym then go a nice walk and stomp out the stress or there's loads of videos on YouTube to choose from. I also use Insight Timer app free from Google play, meditation, self hypnosis, Neuro science..it has everything, I meditate every morning, if my minds in the right space everything else follows. I also stopped the alcohol and keep to a strict sleep routine...sounds boring as hell lol but it really does work, I went from 18 tablets a day to 1 thyroid tablet a day...hope u start to feel better soon ❤

A huge thank you for responding 💕💕 Your own experiences & tips are huge help. Sometimes just knowing you're not on your own with something is a huge mental help. I know this is true for me xxx

Mate I'm menopausal too, the husband unfortunately has to be patient on every issue, it's not our fault my husband googled it n realised its not just "me" being mardy it's a real thing fingers crossed we all get through it goodluck sweet xx
