Good Morning, FS Warriors! Another day in paradise! Finished off Stage 5 (I think) of my run/walk program. Tomorrow I run 9 min/walk 2 (x2) then run 8 minutes. Bring it on! Ughh. I'm not really that upbeat about it. Every time I move to the next level, I know it's going to be a stretch, but I also know I can do it, so I have to do it. If I had just jumped into this thing and tried to go the distance without working up to it, then I'd have an excuse for failing. But no, I've done this program before, and it's working this time, so there's no reason to believe I can't go the distance this time. Anyway, with a girl like Jillian to spur me on, how can I lose?

Hurt so good
Come on baby, make it hurt so good
Sometimes love don't feel like it should
You make it hurt so good

Had my first practice for this nursing home ministry we're starting up. We're bringing a little country, a little old time rock 'n Roll, some spiritual songs and devotions. We had a great time in practice. There's some serious talent in our group - not me, I'm an untrained ear and just a strummer on the guitar. They like my bass voice, so they decided to keep me. We cut up a lot, and we think we're going to have a good time doing it. A lot of the people in the nursing homes are just happy for people to come in and give them a little attention. It's good to be able to give back a little to the communities, of what God has blessed us with.

I've been pretty consistent with my diet, with a few boo boos here and there, but nothing serious. If I show a loss tomorrow, I'll be happy, if I don't show a loss tomorrow, I'll be happy. If I show a gain, I'll kill somebody. Just kidding, don't call crime stoppers! The averages will catch up with me one way or another. I'm in this thing for the long haul this time. I have decided that, as long as it is in my power and capability to do so, I will continue to improve and get as fit as I can. When circumstances beyond my control dictate otherwise, then I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. But, I'm not expecting that to happen until I'm in my 90's. So, let's get on with it.

Get up off that couch, if you're able, and join me. Let's start eating this elephant one bite at a time. Toodles!
