Whole chicken in a big pot. Add chopped carrots, parsnips, onions, mushrooms, potatoes & a little swede. I put in 2 cloves of garlic but we're garlic mad here. I add 2 chicken stock cubes with enough water to cover chicken & veg. Bring to boil, then lower heat to bare simmer. I had a large chicken so gave it 40/45 mins, then removed it from pot. Just before it started falling off the bone. When veg is soft, remove a few potatoes for everyone. Blitz the remaining veg & reheat. Salt & pepper to taste. I only blitz all the veg because of my kids, to be sure I get veg into them. If you want to be naughty, you could add 150-200ml fresh cream 🙈 I was good & didn't today 😁 This lasts us 2 days. Its very filling. Portion up your chicken, give everyone their few spuds & pour the soup all over & enjoy 😉

I've got low blood pressure, so have to be careful with how much garlic I eat. Yet, put something with garlic near me & I'm face first in there! I crush 4to5 garlic cloves into Greek yoghurt (full or half fat. Regular natural yoghurt works too) with grated cucumber (which you place in a teatowel to squeeze out the moisture). Leave for an hour or so at least, for flavours to develop through the yoghurt. It's basically tzatziki. Just that you add dill to call it tzatziki. And I love the dill in it too but mostly for use as a salad dressing then & with that I add lemon zest. Gives it a lovely light, summery lift (in my salads). You can use it as a dip, salad dressing or, which everyone of us love, add it to a curry/mex meal. It lasts for days. And I ALWAYS have garlic butter on standby! For toasties, on steaks etc.... Welcome to the Garlic Club! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Years ago, in my teens, 20's & 30's, my blood pressure was particularly low - & boy did I notice a drop after I ate garlic. I'd get dizzy & weak. Yoghurt will drop your blood pressure too. So it's a double whammy for me when I eat my tzatziki.... but it tastes so good! 😭 I'm not as bad as I used to be. My body either adjusted or my blood pressure isn't as low as it used to be. Although my weight problems started after my pregnancies. 🤔 ??? (Used to waver between 100lbs to 110lbs prebabies ... I'm 5" 2') My parents use garlic weekly & eat yoghurt regularly. Mostly since I flaked out in the kitchen after a family meal when I was 17. My mom was with me at Dr's. After blood pressure check, told him what we were doing just prior ... he told me to be careful with garlic as it's great for lowering blood pressure & therefore, not my best friend. It was in my 20's I discovered yoghurt helps lower blood pressure. Passed out on a train platform in Germany a little while after breakfast. Dr there told me to avoid garlic, carrot juice & yoghurt. I found small bottles of Guinness & drank half pint of that in the evenings for about a week because I was quite anemic too. Sorry, I know I tend to go on & on & on!!! 🙈

@chesnut63 .. I can't drink to save my life Hon 🙈 That little Guinness bottle had me tiddly before bed. Friends & family take the mick out of me. My brother got everyone to say this if they see me with a drink in hand ... "1, 2, 3, floor!!!". Sod 🤣 I had 2 glasses of red wine last Sunday & was half cut. My other half, after 16 years, still finds it amazing & cracks up. He loves telling people what a cheap date his Mrs is. 🙄 He does explain why after he sees their shock 🤣🤣 It is funny though.

I think someone is on the pull Chesnut. Be careful who you liaise with on social media. String vests and y-fronts come to mind.😉

I'm not offended. I'm here to lose weight, motivation, help others where I can but also to have some 'wholesome' fun too. Speaking of which... Green Door, Y-fronts & string vest? Very alluring. 🤣🤣🤣
