Some good tips for better digestion.

I use a Digestive Enzyme supplement with every meal. Unless you're eating raw veggies, most of the enzymes in our food has either been processed out or cooked out. Heating anything to 160 or more for at least 5 minutes kills all the natural digestive enzymes - well, that's what I read somewhere, anyway. And, even with raw veggies, the enzymes can be compromised if they have been exposed to pesticides, preservatives, irradiated. Much of the fruit and veggies at supermarkets have been exposed to sprays to preserve, or irradiated quickly to kill bacteria, prolong shelf life. Killing the bacteria also kills the enzymes.

Agree with rgaDawg! So much of the nutritional values of “fresh anything” has been set to the side in the interest of large corporation farming. A higher number of local smaller farms would give us all a healthier selection of more nutritious fresh foods!

I eat like firemen 🚒 trying to fight fire, very fast. I know it’s bad. Thanks for the tips.
