I had a really productive day yesterday! Up at five to get to the car boot early, sold all my cakes and jams as well as clothes that were too big! A good start to the holiday fund! Literally just had time to change into my walking boots and rush to meet three ladies from our walking group. I led the walk this week and we did five miles through Beddgelert forest, ending up at the pub for a diet coke. Made bacon wrapped chicken breast with roasted radishes with broccoli and cauliflower cheese for dinner. Yesterday was a good day! Been thinking about your cat Doobrie, I hope all went well at the vets.

Thank you for asking Anne. The vet says Gizzy's lump has doubled in size, and instead of giving him daily painkillers (which she thinks was making him sick), she has administered a steroid injection which should keep him painfree for a month, then he can have a further one but, sadly, she thinks he may only have two or three months left to live 😭

Oh Doobrie, so sorry to hear that! I love cats, have done all my life. As a child I used to tell my troubles to Rover, our black and white tomcat who growled like a dog, hence the name. When I got married I missed him so much so we got two kittens, Fudge and Smudge, who ruled the house for many years! Thinking of you

Doobrie I have been gluten free for several years so it doesn't bother me when I make almond tartlets, sharp lemon squares, coconut tartlets and Bara Brith. Am I making you hungry yet? They are all my best sellers as well as three fruit marmalade, I do miss that!
