What a week! After the spike up from eating "healthy" grains and beans, as well as some fruit, it took a Whopper with fries to send the numbers back under 170. Don't ask, because I have no freaking clue. All I know is that it totally took away the bread craving I was having, and it didn't taste nearly as good as I was expecting.
Yesterday, I had lunch with the ex, and played backgammon for a couple of hours. Fun, as always. I had a taco salad, but didn't eat the tortilla 'bowl'. I did taste it, but it was greasy and gross. I ended up only eating half of the salad, because it was made with romaine lettuce, and the hot chili on top of it wilted the lettuce. Blech.
Afterwards, I had to make the weekly Walmart run. My grocery bill these days is mostly kitty related stuff. LOL! I debated picking up a turkey to debone and can, but Publix actually has a better price on fresh turkey than Walmart has on frozen. I may stop in on Saturday and get one. Home canned turkey is delicious, and a great quick meal.
After groceries, I stopped in at the FEMA disaster relief office, because I never got the PIN to apply for a loan to repair the damage to my roof from the hurricane. There were a LOT of very bored, but very friendly and helpful folks there. They fell all over themselves to assist me, and ended up filling out the application for me. It will be interesting to see what comes of it.
Work today is going to be crazybusy! Should be close to a $500 day. That's a whole lot of hair! I expect to be tired and hurting tonight, but it will be worth it.

Sounds like you've got this back under control again, even if there's no explaining the drop after the carbs. Hope that busy day went well and that you can put your feet up this evening. I'm guessing that tomorrow's going to be busy, too, so take care of you.
