When I saw the number -- an increase -- I wasn't going to log it here. But then I thought I better own it and learn from what happened last week. Moving forward. I will still make my ultimate goal. Have a great Sunday and week ahead folks.

An increase of 0.2kg?! Try this, get something that weighs 200 grams. Stand on the scale while holding it, now put it down and weigh again. Do it several times, do you get repeatable results?

Haha, Giles. To explain, I weighed earlier got had a different number before. The gain was just under 1 pound (0.45kg). After that, tidied up a bit, then (not getting too graphic) my morning systems kicked in. Afterwards I weighed again and was 0.5 pound lighter so updated the result. The scale is absurd. I guess after the drop I had last week, I lost perspective. Once again, I'm reminded not to put to much of my thoughts on the scale. 😄😃

An increase of 0.45kg?! Try this, get something that weighs 450 grams...... ;)

I actually tried this experiment, with a weight plate. The scales jump around all over the place, they are just not as accurate as they claim to be. And either way what do you actually "weigh", if you drink a glass of water you just gained 0.2kg, and if you empty your bowels you lose 123.6 grams.

GilesBategate, that is too funny. I tried your experiment. 3 apples and a kiwi was 426g. those same 3 apples with an easy peeler satsuma was 434g. Two empty regular-sized Ikea coffee mugs were exactly 450 grams. Got on the scale and saw lots of changes. Point made. Keeping perspective.

Either that or your kitchen scales are wrong ;) The only way to be sure is to count the number of atoms, but then the gravity of earth might be wrong so you would need to count the number of atoms in the earth too.
