Anne_145's Journal, 24 Jun 22

I am averaging 1750 calories a day. Not far off macro % too. I have split my protein intake to protein powder after training, a protein yoghurt at lunchtime, and BCAA at teatime. I think this steady stream of protein is helping with recovery, especially overnight. Full of energy in the mornings and ready to swim/workout. All good. (except I would like to be eating more but what's new!)

How much protein do you eat a day Anne? I've increased mine a bit the last couple of weeks and definitely feel less hungry and more energetic (up til I got covid at least)

I seem to be on 97g just now which is 26% of daily macros. For 63kg. The yoghurt at lunch time really fills me up. Its Kvarg and I add a spoon of a milled goji, sunflower, chia seed mix of some sort that appeared in the house.

Interesting. The seed mix is a good idea. I've always struggled to get mine to 20% (75g)- it is difficult on a mainly plant based diet, but I've just changed to a low carb seed bread + regularly eating soya yoghurt and its made a difference

I don't eat much meat at all but lots of fish so I struggle to get up to my desired 30%. But I am getting closer all the time! I don't know if the seeds add much protein but it makes the yoghurt a bit more of an event and they have other goodies in them (I hav proper seeds on my porridge and a different mix of milled seed on the yoyghurt for variety

Fantastic Anne…is this you below target?

I admire how you keep going and stay strong

Yes and no, Suma. My target was 63kg. But if I can get to 62kg ALL my clothes fit. If I can get to 60kg I am at the top of my game! It is a bit of a numbers game really. A happy medium with the odd foray up and down.

Chesty, there is no choice for me. I have to keep going. Noone else to take up any slack.

Well done Anne. Good results.

Thanks, Bearwood. It is satisfying when a small tweak has a positive outcome. Of course, sometimes you tweak and it has the opposite effect so I am well happy and energised to carry on.
