Stalling and its reasons

After a brilliant start which really bolstered my resolve and self-esteem, the past five days have seen just a 500 grams loss (give or take - we all know how scales, time of the month, bodily functions can affect the bottom line). I know I haven't given in and I haven't eaten till my belly says it's empty.

BTW, I try to eat "real food" - that's real full-fat yoghurt, for example, rather than a pot of chemically enhanced yoghurt which has only a few calories and nil satisfaction.

Feeling disgruntled after my absolute focus and dedicated eating programme, I took a look at a 500 gram loss and reality.

500 grams is the size of a slab of lard or butter. It's one of those tubs of spread, a lump of cheese and a quarter larger than 1 pound. That's made me feel a lot happier.

Onwards and upwards.

I make jam so always have a stack of sugar available.....I tend to put the sugar out on the worktop in its pack to the weight I've lost when I'm feeling a bit disheartened. then you think.....actually that's not bad....and....wow where's the weight gone and I'm happy again.....half a kilo is good. half a kilo a week over a year is 26 kilo and that's just over 4 stone. sounds good to me...... 🤗😆

Brilliant way to put it into perspective, I like your thinking.

The variability of losses is a little frustrating made a little worse by daily weigh ins. Taking the 1000 ft high viewpoint while doing daily weigh ins the way to go that suits me as well. 500g is not a bad number
