Lulu Low carb has been getting in some practice for Shrove Tuesday. Ok, ok I know it’s a bit early, but as her chief tester no complaints from me. She whizzed up a low carb coconut batter version of her crepes which she intends to make in the form of waffles, but for the time being it’s like a tasty cross between crepes and pancakes, topped with double cream melted dark chocolate and pecans. I gronffed down four of them. For an encore I will have to wait for the 28th February. She thought about what to do with the left over melted chocolate and then had a flash of inspiration; she simply drizzled the 90% dark chocolate over some seedless grapes and stored them in the fridge. They went down a treat this evening with a glass of white wine. They were positively obscene.
