This morning Lulu Lowcarb asked me, “Do you fancy a cooked breakfast?” I had to think about that for all of a micro second, my reflex response was, “Yes please”.

I had visions of something akin to a mixed grill. Salivating at the thought of Double egg, sausages, bacon, butter fried mushrooms, plum tomatoes all served up on a couple of slices of lard fried bread.

15 mins later it was ready, two baked eggs in a ramekin dish with spinach and two rashers of bacon served up with a glass of Apple cider vinegar. Like a scene from a Max Fleischer cartoon the visual bubble I had in my head popped. The spinach eggs tasted good, but were all too soon consumed as was the bacon, which I had to snaffle down rather quickly, because Cindy, my eldest tabby cat had decided she wanted some too. I think Cindy was getting ready to wrestle me for the bacon, but lost interest when I showed her I had cleaned the plate.

Lulu Lowcarb had a Mexican spiced omelette for breakfast. Having given me a taste of hers I said that I preferred that. So for lunch I had a Mexican spiced omelette.

Dinner was a refreshing tuna salad.
